			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>COBB Tuning announces the release of  AccessTUNER Pro v1.7 for the Mitsubishi EVO X. Using AccessTUNER Pro v1.7, professional engine tuners can configure the EVO X ECU to extract maximum power from a given set of performance modifications. Professional engine tuners can create custom calibrations for vehicles with aftermarket intakes, exhausts, turbos, cams or any combination of performance modifications. The calibration is then flashed to the ECU via the AccessPORT handheld ECU flashing device, providing impressive power gains with all of the drive-ability and sophistication inherent in the OEM ECU.</p>
<p>AccessTUNER Pro puts control of vital engine parameters into the hands of the professional engine tuner, such as intake cam advance, exhaust cam retard, fuel, ignition, boost control, boost limiter, engine rev limiter and speed limiter. Customizable data monitors let the tuner choose which channels are monitored to see how changes impact the behavior of the engine. The built-in datalogging capability captures data from multiple channels across the entire rev-range, allowing detailed data analysis after a dynamometer test. 3-D graphical mapping gives the tuner a comprehensive view of engine behavior across three axes to evaluate where performance can be maximized.</p>
<p>AccessTUNER Pro v1.7 is supported on Windows XP and Windows Vista 32-bit operating systems.</p>

<p>COBB Tuning is proud to announce the availability of AccessTUNER Pro “Speed Density” support for all Subaru drive-by-wire vehicles equipped with a <a href="http://cobbtuning.com/accessport">COBB v2 AccessPORT</a>. The new “Speed Density” implementation instructs the ECU to calculate load by using temperature and manifold absolute pressure (MAP) as opposed to the OEM code that utilizes mass air flow (MAF). This development addresses the growing demand within the Subaru enthusiast community for motorsports grade engine management without sacrificing the drive-ability and sophistication inherent in the OEM ECU.</p>
<p>The most basic function of an engine control unit (ECU) is to measure airflow and its translation to engine load. Precise and consistent load calculations along with feedback from other critical sensors allow the ECU to accurately control ignition timing, variable camshafts, and fuel delivery. The most common way to measure load in modern vehicles is with a mass air flow sensor (MAF). Vehicles with stock engines and mild upgrades can utilize the MAF sensor with excellent overall results. However, in a motor sports application where power levels are extremely high and intake airflow configurations are less standardized, the use of a MAF sensor can be highly limiting.</p>
<p>The enhanced AccessTUNER Pro software now offers multiple ECU control modes to give the professional tuner and AccessPORT user a wider choice of engine modifications and tuning options. The software can program the ECU to run in the traditional pure MAF mode, a pure “Speed Density” mode, or a hybrid of both MAF and “Speed Density” with multiple configurable parameters to control dynamic mode switching.</p>

<p align="justify">The AccessPORT provides owners of 2008 Infiniti G37 vehicles the ability to unlock power hidden within the factory ECU. Performance gains across the entire powerband can be quickly realized in the short time it takes to flash the vehicle’s ECU with the AccessPORT. No tools are required. No mailing the factory ECU across the country. No vehicle downtime. No waiting. And waiting. And waiting! <p align="justify">But don’t put the AccessPORT away just yet. Flashing the ECU is just the start of what the AccessPORT is capable of. Set the AccessPORT to Performance mode to capture 0-60MPH times and ¼ Mile times. Switch over to Live Data and choose a gauge to monitor, such as; coolant temperature, oil temperature, throttle position, intake cam<br />
advance, Air/Fuel voltage and many more. Use the Troubleshooting mode to diagnose issues across multiple electronic control systems (ECU, TCM, IPDM, M\A Meter, BCM, Auto Drive Position, Pre-Crash Seatbelt System, Adaptive Lights and Air Bag System) by reading the factory codes and resetting the system once the issues have been resolved.</p>
<p align="justify">Real life will eventually intrude and require that the G37 be left behind. Eliminate separation anxiety and protect your investment when out on the town by quickly loading the Valet map to prevent the engine from revving above 3,200 rpm. When it’s time to put the G37 away for the evening, simply load the Anti-Theft map to make it<br />
impossible to start. And in the event the car must be returned to the stock configuration, the AccessPORT can be completely removed and the ECU restored to its factory condition.</p>
<p align="justify">The AccessPORT will continue to meet future needs as well. Firmware upgrades will include the ability to record datalogs, monitor fuel economy and simulate a dynamometer.
