Installing Software

The AP Manager software is located on the CD-ROM included with your AccessPORT. To install, insert the included CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. The installation program should automatically begin in a few seconds. If not, or you have the AutoRun feature disable, navigate in Windows to the CD-ROM drive and double-click the [installap.exe] file. Follow the on screen prompts to complete the installation process.

Setting up Library

The first time you use AP Manager, it will prompt you to set up a Library. This is where you will store all of the AccessPORT map files on your local PC. Unless you need to change this to another location, you can press the OK button to continue to the main program.

Connecting to the AccessPORT

To update your AccessPORT with new maps or firmware updates, use the supplied USB cable to connect the AccessPORT to your PC. The larger end of the USB cable goes to the PC and the smaller end of the USB cable will go to the AccessPORT. Once connected to the PC, the AccessPORT will start up. At the main menu on the AccessPORT, navigate to the [SYNC TO PC] option and press the [OK] button. This will place the AccessPORT into a special mode where it may receive information from the PC. Once this is done, your PC will recognize the AccessPORT and an icon will be displayed in the AP Manager software.
With the AccessPORT in the [SYNC TO PC] mode, you can easily move maps on or off the AccessPORT as well as update it with new updates and features. It is highly advised that you visit http://www.cobbtuning.com often to check for the latest AccessPORT updates and map files.
